-By Telegraph — Copyrlght).
Rec. Nov. 16, 8.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Monday. Despite "a lead of 257 on the first innings the Springboks continued batting in a dreary fashion in their second innings against New South Wales. Light rain fell in the morning handicapping the bowlers and fieldsmen, but the batsmen were very slow, 100 runs occupying 133 minutes. Curnow's 50 took 10 minutes. longer. Cameron however used the long handle when a lead of 400 had been
established, and hit two delightful sixes. The South African captain lost his . wicket in attempting another big hit. Rain was now falling steadily and play ceased at 3.45 p.m. stumps being drawn at 5.20. The South African's tour of New Zealand is still under consideration. The manager has not yet received a reply to his cable to the board of control at Johannesburg.
