NEW YORK, Saturday. A message from Little Rock, Arkansas, states that the Governor, Mr: Parnell, has appointed Mrs Hattie Caraway, a Democrat, as United States Senator to serve until the special election on January 12, as suecessor to her husband the late Senator Caraway.
