On Thursday afternoon on unusually violent rainstorm swept across the country between Atiamuri and Oruanui. The storm, which was purely local and confined to a sharply defined area, travelled rapidly on a narrow front and caused considerable j temporary flooding. Atmospheric con- , ditions in Rotorua and the surrounding districts have been suggestive of rain for the past day or two and last evening a steady downfall set in which lasted well into the night. Combined with the warm weather which heralded its approach, the rain will do nruch good to pastures and garclens. when spring calls. When the subtle magic of Spring gets into the blood, we're apt to ignore the 1 sudden changes of weather, which are | part of the season's charin. A" hacking cough or sore throat are a reminder that even Spring has its dangers. Relief soon comes if you've got Pulmonas handy, however, Pulmonas never fail.
