-By Telegraph — Copyright.)
Rec. Nov. 13, 7.15 p.m. TORONTO, Thursday. Eight members of the Ganadian Communist Assoeiation were found guilty by a jury of being members of an unlawful assoeiation, acting as members of such assoeiation, and being parties to a seditious conspiracy. They will be sentenced tomorrow. The Crown Prosecutor asked that a motion be made for the confiscation of property of the Communist Party in Canada, and for the deportation of those deportable. A series of raids on Communist headquarters played a major part in the conviction of the eight members of the Canadian Communist Assoeiation. Evidence for the Crown showed that the party was organised by mone.y sent from Moscow and that it had as its main objeet the overthrow of the Government and the existing social system by force and violence. It was also shown that the parties planned at the right moment to imitate the example of their Bolshevic masters by forcibly seizing power in Canada, cutting down with bayonet and rifle all those who opposed them.
