REGISTRATIONS LOWER THAN FOR THREE MONTHS ' PAST

WELLINGTON, Thurs. For the first time since August 6, the unemployment registrations, as shown for the week ending November 8, have fallen below 50,000. The total on that date was 49,935, showing a decrease of 349 for the week, and a decrease of 1,473 since the peak w'as reached for the week ended October 5. The number of men included in the last return who were engaged on part-time relief schemes was 33,546 which is less by 3212 than the figures for the previous week.
