MR. ALBERT DAVIES

The death occurred on Wednesday evening at "Ororoa" Private Hospital, King Street, of Mr. Albert Davies, of Ngongotaha, at the age of 63 years. Mr, Davies was a keen sportsman and took a great interest in football. Until two years ago he frequently acted as referee in Rotorua club matches. In the early days Mr. Davies was engaged in contracting at the Waihi mines and later engaged in flaxmilling at Te Aroha, and sawmilling at Oturoa, Ngongotaha. He* subsequently entered business as" a storekeeper at Ngongotaha, 23 years ago, where he made himself extremely popular. He is survived by Mrs. .Udvies, two sons, Messrs. Norman and William Davies, and one daughter, Mrs. M. J. Reidy, all of Ngongotaha.
