LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
GARDEN PARTY. The final meeting for the year of the Rotorua League of Mothers Associat|oi), took the form of a garden party held at the residence of Mrs. II. Bertram, Ranolf Street.' The weather was ideal for the f unction, and when Father Christmas arrived the gaiety of t|ie children was most infectious. Their delight, when the gifts off the large Christmas' tree placed on the lawn were distributed passed all bounds. For the adults, entertainrqent took the form of musical items, generously and beautifully rendered by Mrs. Green, Mrs. Black, Miss Mina Kronfeldt, Miss Grace CamerQn-Johnson and Miss Margaret McKenzie. Added interest was given to the afteynqon by fhq presence pf |he Rotorua branch's Auckland League representative, Mrs. Allen, and Mrs. F. W. Whyte., provincial secretary. Mrs. Tyhyt.e gave a vefy jnferesting address on "Womanh'oodJ' at the conclusion of which she was thanked on behalf of the gathering by Mrs. Bertram, who stated that the League ! greatly appreciated all ad^re^ses such as that. * ' ] The commitfee responsible for the ' afternoon's arrangements, and who organised eyepyfbipg so capably, compris.ecjf Mrs. Bertraip, pipsip^l prograipme ; Mesdames " Gardner and Ford, Christmas Tree provided from funds gathered by the secretary from the committee, members and friends; Mrs. Quinian and "committee, afternoon tea; Miss M.
