The paper said: "Lord Tennyson is no Bradman, but he should know that hrst-class cricketers do not have to spend sleepless nights in trying to induce the Press to mention them. It is the second-rater ■who has to hunt for publicity. Bradman is news, and so, but for different reasons, is a speech like Lord Tennyson's.
