— By Telegraph — Copyright.)
Re.c. Nov. 5, 5.5 p.m. PARIS, Wednesday. At a joint meeting, th© French Rugby Federation and the Amateur Rugby TJnion took opposing sides in a controversy following the British Rugby Union's demand that Franee should purge out professionalism. It was agreed to examine the reorganisation scheme, including the establishment of absolute amateurism, the suppression of the regional championship and the creation of a committee of management to administer the rules, and also a committee of three guaranteeing that French internationals are fully amateur, and also to be responsible for their good behaviour. It is now hoped that the FrancoBritish international games will b©? resumed during the present season.
