SCOTTISH FORTUNE

HEIRS DISCOVERED AT FRANKTON THROUGH ADVERTISEMENT HAMILTON, Wednesday.' Writers of fiction sometimes colour their narratives with stories of great fortunes awaiting claimants who have wandered to the far corners of the earth, but it is not often that such incidents as these occur in real life. However, a small advertisement appearing in the "Waikato Times" today has resulted in the finding of four heirs to portion of one of Scotland's richest inheritances. Many yeara ago Mary Reid, a daughter of a wealthy old Scottish family, was married to Rev. David Anderson, who was also well " connected in Scotland. Forty years ago they came to New Zealand and settled. Both are now dead, but four children, Miss Annie Archihald Anderson, Mesdames Fendall J. P. Currie, T. A. Crighton, and H. de Latour, are still living at Livingstone Park, on the outer edge of Frankton. The advertisement was the first indieation that they had received of their good fortune, and when interviewed by a "Times" representative they told an interesting story of the family's history. There were seven children of the marriage, but Mr. John Anderson and Mrs R. Hay Chapman have died, and another hrother, Mr. David Anderson was killed in the Great War. No details are known of the inheritance, but a large sum is involved and the claimants will probably leave for Scotland in the near future.
