HOCKEY AND FOOTBALL TEAMS VISIT WHAKA CLUB. RETURN MATCHES PLAYED The Poroporo ladies' hockey and junior football teams visited Rotorua on Saturday to play a return match against the Whaka Club's fiockey and football teams, the games being played before a fair attendance of spectators at Arawa Park. The hockey match, which was played ' first, resulted in a win for the visitors by two goals against one, the scorers for the winners being Misses Nuku and Hauai. R. Ratema scored for the losers. The garne was scrappy an4 uninteresting throughout, the 'play of both teams lackipg cpmbination. The football match proved more interesting, and despite the warm conditions was remarkably fast. Whaka were the winners by 15 points to nil, their speedy forwards and backs being too good for the Poroporo team. Scorers of trys for Whaka were, J. Maru, Matangi, ' Williams, Kukume, and W. Ngahau. None of the tries were converted-
