N.Z. CRICKETERS
CROWDS GREET TEAM ON ARRIVAL AT AUICLAND AUCKLAND, Sunday. There was a very large attendance at Queen's Wharf and outside the gates this morning when the Ruahine with the New Zealand cricket team ahoard herthed shortly after 11 a.m. The tourists were welcomed by offlcials of the Auckland Gricket Association, relations and friends and members of the New Zealand Cricket Council. Mr. Lowry, captain of the team, said that they had had a splendid time from beginning to end, having been overwhelmed with kindness and hospitality of every description. Before the trip was half way over they were forced to refuse offers of hospitality and entertainment owing to the need for rest, and from fear that it would interfere with the team's cricket. "Our Sundays were spend in playing golf or in visiting large conntry houses, where the members of the fceam amused them'selves as they wished at tennis, golf, fishing or swimming. Whether in London or in the Provinces, the members ' of tbe team were always provided with seats for any theatre they desired to attended," j Mr. Lowry said.
