Held on Saturday afternoon, the girls' day proved a decided success for though the day was rather warm from; the competitors' poirit of view it was all that could have been desired by the many spectators. The programme of events, run off rapidly, roused a great deal of enthusiasm, one of the outstanding features of the afternoon being the keen spirit of House rivalry, both old and present pupils barracking with tireless energy. The winner of the senior champiohship, Norah Foggin, proved herself far superior to her fellow competitors while the points gained by the three plaeed girls in the intermediate championship were 11, 14, and 15 respectively, the winner being 1 Valerie Fenton. In the junior championship Bernice Cottrell won easily by 23 points to 14. During the afternoon the Old Boys-' 100 yards championship, was run. In the tug-of-war and the relay against the Old Boys' team, the school proved victorious, these two events, together with the girls' inter-house tug-of-war, arousing much enthusiasm.
