LONDON, Thursday. The suggestions put forward by tlie Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. R. B. Bennett and the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr. G. W. Forbes, that an Imperial Economic Conference should be convened at once is welcomed by business men. "Trade agreements were never more urgently necessary," declared Lord Elibanlc, Chairman of the Federation of Empire Chambers of Commerce. "Conditions were never more favourable. The federation is continuing to do its utmost to promote Imperial preference."
