tq-Imight. "Gun Smoke," the Paramount picture, starring Richard Arlen, at the Grand Theatre, provides an original idea in movie story plots. It concerns the battle of guns, which results when a bunch of gangsters from the city pose as financiers, and go to a little town in Idaho, to hide away until their sinister activities in the metropolis blow overIt is a war to the death, in which gansters and Westerns have ample opportunity to compare their prowess with "shootin' irons." Richard Arlen assumes the role of a young mustang hunter, who spends his time capturing wild horses, instead of making love, much to the despair of Mary Brian, feminine lead in the film.
