The "Sydney Morning Herald" in a leader on the election says the results of the election throughout the Empire will probably be as momentous as in Great Britain; indeed it is the likely response from the Dominions as much as anything, which may recommend an effective preferential tariff to the new Government. Nor is that all; in Australia and New Zealand at any rate the definite declaration of the British people for strict administrative econoniy reinforces up to the hilt the advice given to these Dominions by tho financial experts who were invited hither from the Old : Country.
