Rec. Oct. 29, 11.45 p.m. LONDON, Thursday. "The Daily Herald," commenting on the result of the elections, said "Labour has had what the Duke of Wellington called cix damned good hiding.' If the party can talce a good hiding, it may win in the long run. The Labour Government had to learn its lesson. The fact is, the Tories beat us with organisation, propaganda, and generalship. Meanwhile, grim times are ahead.
