WEDDING

WEATHERELL — GARMONSWAY St. Luke's Church, Rotorua, presented a very attractive appearance on Wednesday, October 21, for the wedding of Marjorie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Weather ell, of Rotorua," to Frederick Trevor, youngest son of Mrs. Reid, of Cambridge. The church was tastefully decorated with irises, cherry blossom and foliage. The bride made a charming picture as she entered the church on the arm of her father, gowned in a froek of white mariette made on long flowing l'ines. The light fitting bodice was finished with a bolero of Brussels lace. The skirt was slightly trained. Her embroidered tulle veil was caught by a two-tier coronet of orange blossom. White satin shoes and a shower bouquet of tulips, iceland poppies and fern completed a charming picture. Miss Mary W'eatherell , as bridesmaid wa's particularly charming in an anklelength frock of fioral satin beaute in shades of apricot and blue. The long tight-fitting sleeveless bodice was finished with a bolero. Apricot satin shoes and apricot felt hat were worn. She carried a bouqbet of iceland poppies and fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. William Broadbent, of Rotorua. A reception was subsequently held at the Dolly Varden tea-rooms. Mr. J. Kitchen proposed the toast of the bride and eroom.

The happy couple left later amidst showers of confetti for Auckland. The bride travelled in a fleck tweed ensemble in shades of cherry and white, with hat" and shoes to tone. Mrs. Weatherell, mother of the bride, 'wore a navy ensemble with h.eige hat to tone." Mrs. "Weatherell,. Senr., of Auckland, wore a black mariette ensemble and hat to match. Among 'the guests were: Mrs.- Ayden (Auckland) , Mrs. Rqbson (Auckland), Mrs. Weatherell (Cambridge), .MrA'I. 'Ki'ngdon (Caihbri.dge), sist.e?.of the bridegroom, Mrs. R. Garmonsway (Frankton), Miss J. Tripp (Cambridge), Miss E. Weatherell (Rotorua), Mrs. R. Baker, Mrs. J. Glover, Mrs. J. Weatherell, Mrs. ' Forsyth, Mrs. W. Stembridge, Mrs. C. Williamson, Mrs. J. Holmes, Misses Myrtle Glover, Y. Butler, N. .Gallagher and M. Burgess, and Messrs. J. Weatherell (Auckland) , J. Kitehen (Feilding), R, Garmonsway (Frankton), J. Glover aqd Master Keith Weatherell (Auckland) . The bouquets were made and presented by Mrs. R. Baker.
