MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HOLDS WEEKLY MEETING.
DRAW F(5R FOUR SERIES. I A meeting of the management committee of the Rotorua Cricket Association was held on Tuesday evening, Mr. H. L. Musgrave presiding over a large attendance.
Mr. F. H. Reed reported upon the Labour Day representative fixture with Te Puke. After an enjoyable game, Rotorua had won on the first innings. The thanks of e Association were passed to Messrs. Mason and Mulligan for assistance with the afternoon tea. Appreciation was also expressed of the action of the High School in making available mats, and pins for the mats. Mr. J. J. Lewis undertook to have the Association's mat repaired during tho week, provided it had not been disposed of in the meantime. Mr. J. G. Hewson undertook to have 30 pins for the mat made during the week and this matter was left in the hands of Mr. Musgrave. It was decided to appoint three selectors for the 1931-32 season and Messrs. W. Pitts, F. H. Reed and L. C. Clark were appointed to that position.
Results of Saturday's games were reported: — Albion (3 points) v. High School (1) ; Mamaku (4) v. Ngongotaha (0); City (4) v. Old Boys (0).j The draw for the next four series resulted as follows: — Second Series. — Old Boys v. High School, at High School; Albion v. Ngnogotahr, at High School; City v. Ma-inaku, at Government Grounds. Third Series. — Old Boys v. Ngongotaha; Albion v. Mamaku; City v. High School. Fourth Series. — City v. Albion; Mamaku v. Old Boys; High School v. Ngongotaha. Fifth Series. — Albion v. Old Boys; Ngongotaha v. City; Mamaku v. High School. Umpires were appointed as follows : Mamaku v. City, Messrs. Robinson and Brennan ; Albion v. Ngongotaha, Mr. Fuller; High School v. Old Boys, Mr. Clark. High School and Old Boys were granted permission to start their match on the second day and complete the game at a future date. The f ollowing practice nights were approved: — Albion, Tuesday; Old Boys, Thursday; City, Friday. Two old bats belonging to the Association were presented to the Old Boys' Club for practice. Accounts totalling £2 18s 6d were passed for payment. The Wednesday Association was off ered the Association's mats at a purchase price of £3 13s 6d or a yearly rental of £3 3s. In the event of the offer being accepted, the Wednesday Association will obtain possession of the mats as from the conclusion of the next series of matches. The offer holds good till next Tuesday.
