SUPT. POTTER KILLED WHEN VEHICLE GOES OVER BANK DRIVER ALSO INJURED

AUCKLAND, Tuesday. A disaster befell the St. John ambulanee when it was proceeding from Auckland to Hunua to collect a patient who was to be brought to the city. The amhulance was three miles from Papakura when it fell over a bank -and dropped 30 feet and then rolled 60 feet. Superintendent A. W. Potter, of the St. John Amhulance Association, was killed outright, and the driver of the "amhulance, Mr. Peter Hatton, , received cuts on the head. His condition is not serious.
