MR C. A. GOODGER FAREWELLED BY COLLEAGUES IN P.W.D. A popular member of the Rotorua staff of the Public Works Department, Mr. C. A. Goodger, who is retiring on superannuation from the position of distriet inspector of works, was f erewelled by Rotorua members of the department on Saturday. Groodger a happy r.e- 1 tirem.ent, Mr, F. L. Park, distri.ct Bubr | lic W:orks engineer, paid a tribute to j the retiring pfficer's many fine quali- j ties. Mr. Park stated that Mr. Goodger had j.oined the Department 35 years ago as a linesman, and after j passing- through the various grad.es of f oreman and overseer had reached the position of inspector of works. He ; had filled this last position with credit to himself and the pepartment and was now retiring on well-earned superannuation. Mr. Goodger suitably returned thanks for the good wishes which had been expressed and the token which, , his coileagues had given him of what had been with him a very happy as- ] sociation.
