"PEACE OR FORCE"

TREATY OF VERSAILLES MUST BE REVISED SENATOR BORAH'S VIEWS WASIIINGTON, Friday. Senator Borah, chairman of the Senate Foreign Re)ations Committee told the French newspaper eorrespondents to-day that the revision of the Versailles Treaty is imperative. It is becoming perfeetly clear that the treaty must be revised, either by peace or force. Mr. Borah said that if the Allies caneelled the war reparations from Germany he would favour the cancellation by the United States of the war debts owed by the Allies. As for disarmament he expected that France would determine for herself as to how far she was prepared to disarm, but he saw no prospect for arms cuts in Europe so long as certain conditions arising _out of the Versailles Treaty contlnued in force.
