FOUR KILLED
SHUNTING RAILWAY TRUCK STRIKES CAR AT CROSSING EIGHT OTHERS INJURED MELBOURNE, Friday. A shunting railway iruck struck a motor-car at a level crossing at Trarelgon early this morning. Four of the occupants of the car, Hazel Davies, Iva Laidlaw, Beulah Williams and a man named Lindsay Scarlett, all residents- of Yimaa, were killed and eight others injured. The car party was returning from a dance. The shunter tried frantically to warn them but the truck van ran over the car. A wJiole hour elapsed before the injured were extricated.
