. : The death occurred on Tuesday c Mrs. Anu Hemanu (Guide Anu), vvell-known Whaka guide, at her res dence in Ti Street, at the age of k years, after a long illness. Mrs. Hemanu was born at Ohint mutu, and has lived all her life i the district. For several years sh w'orked as a clerk in the Rotorua Mde istrate's Gourt. t Mrs. Hemariu was the secdii daughter of Mr. Johri Hall, of Rofc rtia, ahd was married to Matiu Hemanu, a nephew of chief Mita Tas popoke, of Whaka. She has no fan ily, but leaves her husband to riioiin her. — —
