DARGAVILLE, Tuesday. Henry William Nicholls, aged 47 years, storekeeper at Kaihu Settlement, 20 miles north of ' Dargaville, was bufned to death in a fire which destroyed a store and an adjoining shop last night. The indications are that the deceased was trapped in an endeavour to recover some effects. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest. The deceased is survived by his widow and five children.
