Cotton goods baYe gone heavily into the accessories field, and slippers, bats, belts, and gloves of cotton are the last word on the style subject for hot weather. C.o.ttOU sweaters, handknitted of cotton yarn, or fashioned of n^achine-made jersey tulle, are the darlings of Paris, Muslin dinner, bridge and matinee dresses have their matching cotton wraps, be tbey jackets, capes or shawl scarves. Silken blouses are the wallflowers of fashion. Nobody in the fashion world wants to take them out fpr stepping into society. Cotton blouses are having the rush that was f ormerly given to. their silken sisters. Qingham blouses, cbeekered apd striped, are being worn with rqnabout suits. Pique vestee blouses are so much worn that tbey are classic. Organdi, hatiste, voile, and dimity blouses in white and in colour make dressy accessories for summer afternoons. Dotted and embroidered Swiss b.lo.uses, dresses, and sqits are now familiar to all the world, and these materials in white are used in Paris for separate summer jackets tq wear over dark frocks. Such jackets are unlined of course.
