RUGBY, Monday. The United States Navy Department has placed an important order for submarine periscopes with a British firm says the "Daily Telegraph," which adds that the contract is a striking tribute to the quality of the optical glass now being produced in Great Britain. The French and Japanese submarine flotillas also are largely equipped with British optical apparatus.
