OFFER TO LINDRUM

WORLD CHAMPION BILLIARDIST OFFERED BIG RETAINER IN U.S.A. Walter Lindrum has received what he describes as a "huge offer" to visit the United States and engage in a world's international billiards ehampionship. Lindrum said that as the' baulk line extends around the. table in the game played in Ameriea, it might be arranged that the baulk line should be wiped out, and a limitation placed on cannon play. Each stroke scored would then count one point. There is no recognised billiards champion in Ameriea, but claimants to the" title are Jake Schafer, Willie Horemans, Willie Hoppe and Walter Cockram. They would participate in the suggested championship.
