Rec. Oct. 7, 11.56 p.m. LONDON, Wednesdajr. Air Commodore Kingsford Smith I left Rome this morning in good j spirits. Kingsford Smith is due to arrive ! at Heston aerodrome at 5.30 p.m. | to-day. j The airman's arrangements for an S early dash back to Australia are unaltered. "Smithy," who reached Rome at 5 p".m. yesterday, after a seven-hour flight from Athens, declares that his health is much improved. On his arrival at Rome the airman stated that he was gratified that he i did not feel any ill effects during the trip except some weakness. He hopes to be able to start the return trip in a week if medical advice does not forbid him.
