ABBE WATER DIVINER FINDS HOARD IN MONASTERY STORY FROM FRANCE
— By Telegraph — Copyright.)
PARIS, Tuesday. A Lille message reports that gold worth £1,000,000 has been located in an underground passage of a tenth century monastery at Hertain, a small town on the Franco-Belgian frontier. The treasure was found with the aid of a divining-rod with which the Abbe Le Grand, a noted water-finder, indicated a hoard of ancient charts that confirmed the position of the treasure. Some gold coins have already been excavated.
