RIFLE SHOOTING
ARAWA MINIATURE CLUB. The Arawa Miniature Rifle Club held its monthly shoot at the Drill Hall on Tuesday night, 18 members attending. The following were the best scores: — A. Ford, 120; W. Donadson, 117; W. Beamish, 116; P. Allen, 115; R. Norman, 113; R. Price, 113; R. Henderson, 111; J. Martin, 104; F. Richardson, 103. The following are the five best aggregates for the month: — -W. Beamish, 475; W. Donaldson, 463; R. Price, 460; J. Martin, 452; P. Allen, 451. P. Allen and R. Norman missed a shot each in their rapid. If they had not done this, five members would have obtained, with their handicaps, 140 points, which shows that the system of handicapping is sound. The prize winners, were as follows : — Rotary Cluh's medal for best aggregate, W. Beamish. Mr. Merriman's medal for best shoot-off the rifle, A. Ford. Club's First Prize with handicap, A. Ford. Cluh's Second Prize, with handicap, R. Henderson.
