Rec. Oct. 5, 7.50 p.m. LONDON, Monday. The "Daily Mail's" Berlin correspondent says the seriousness of the situation is revealed in the rapid increase in German bankruptcy. For September they numbered 1029 compared with 735 in August. So far there have been 9771 bankruptcies and 5690 compositions in nine months. The Mansfield Copper Works is on the eve of closing its miriing works, which are losing £40,000 monthly. The workers rejected a proposed 125 per cent. wages cut.
