SHOT BY MADMAN
FORMER AUCKLAND DOCTOR MEETS TRAGIC DEATH AUCKLAND, Monday. Cabled advice has been received in Auckland that Dr. Martin Keller, for many years a prominent parctitioner in Auckland, was fatally shot by a demented patient at Glendale Sanatorium, Los Angeles, of which Dr. Keller was medical director. Dr. Keller, whose wife, Dr. Florence Keller, is also well known, had practised in Auckland for 15 years. He left New Zealand in 1921 to take up the position of Dean to the White Memorial Ilospital in Los Angeles, and was later appointed to the position of medical director of the Seventh Day Adventists' Hospital at which the tragedy occurred.
