The opening event will be the Inter-Islan'd teams match, which will be commenc- " ed on Thursday at 9 a.m. This will be followed by the first bogey handicap and the first round of the Rattray Cup. The Inter-Island match will -|e played between teams of eight players representing theNorth and South Islands. As a number of the entranfs in each team are on equal handicaps it will be necessary for these to draw for places before the draw can Je declared. In the North Island team. six have handicaps of four and in tfe South Island team there are two sixejg, two eights and three nines. OhAffef the last will have to be eliminated, and the three players with 9's- wf]l play off for the two places.
