H k DRAW FOR FIRST ROUND ANtt' INTER-ISLAND MATCH LIST £ ■ -li FOURTY-FOUR LADIES ENTER; One hundred and sixteen of the Dominion's leading lady golfers have entered for the various events in the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Uhion*s ^hirty-fifth amateur championship I tournament, which will be commencI ed at Rotorua on the Arikikapakapa course, on Thursday next. The opening event will be the Inter-Islan'd teams match, which will be commenc- " ed on Thursday at 9 a.m. This will be followed by the first bogey handicap and the first round of the Rattray Cup. The Inter-Island match will -|e played between teams of eight players representing theNorth and South Islands. As a number of the entranfs in each team are on equal handicaps it will be necessary for these to draw for places before the draw can Je declared. In the North Island team. six have handicaps of four and in tfe South Island team there are two sixejg, two eights and three nines. OhAffef the last will have to be eliminated, and the three players with 9's- wf]l play off for the two places. It hks therefore been arranged that the lalies concerned shall play-off to-morrqw and the draw will be made aflr the play and published in the "Polg" on Wednesday. ■ .»*> Ladies' Championship The principal event of the tournament, the Ladies' Amateur Champiohship of New Zealand, will be commenced on Friday, the first round bemg timed to start at 8.45 a.m. Tl»s event has attracted 44 entries, hff whom 20 have drawn a bye in tfre first round. ,y, Following is the draw: — First Round Championship •»> Mrs. E.
