FURTHER GLASGOW RIOTS

Rec. Oct. 4, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. Riots again broke out in Glasgow, crowds looting shops and smashing widows. The police charged with batons, and amid a shower of stones, bottles, and jamjars, 49 arrests were made. Some of those arrested were so violent that they required five policemen to frog-march them to the police station. It took seven police to carry one man to the station and six were needed to hold him down.
