Kec. Uct. z, 1.5 a.m. LONDON, Thursday The "Daily Express" Bradford correspondent says that orders are pouring in on the Bradford top makers, s]>inners and piece goods manufacturers and that the mills are back to full time. "It has been the most hectic 1C days since August, 1914," said a leader in the industry, "and it is due tc the collapse of sterling. "Foreigners were previously supjilying the English hosiery weaven at a price with which Bradford coulc. not compete," he continued. "Now the piece goods manufacturers of France and Italy are repudiating contracts, and this helps the Yorkshirt weavers. The currency changes havt stopped the Italian traders from competing." A similar rush of orders for boots and shoes is being experienced ai Northampton and there is a big revival in the sale of British motorcars on the Continent owing to the position of the pound sterling.
