Deputation to Government A deputation. represgnting the fertiliser companies interviewed the Prime Minister, the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes, and Ministen of AgricuL ture (Ilon. D- Jones) to-day, the proceedings being private., It is understood, hqwever, that a scheme was submitted to the Goyernment .which involvedtthe payment of a State subsidy sufficient to enable the companies to make supplies available to the farmer at a reduction of about 25 per cent., cent. on the present prices. It is reported also that the Department pf Agriculture has prepared proposals designed to meet the position. The wjhole question is under Cabinet. consideration and before long, definite developments of interest to primary producers are expected.
