Rec. Sept. 28, 8 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. The police ascertained to-day that what was supposed to be the body of Dulcie Bryce was not a hunian body at all, but merely a coloured rock which upon close examination resembled a human form. The body of Marjorie Gilligan (15) was found in the basement of a residential building in Sydney on Monday, September * 21. She had been so brutally assaulted that it was at first thought the body was that of a mid-dle-aged woman. Her aunt, Mrs. May Bryce, with whom she had been living, was missing and her body was found subsequently on the water's edge at Cronulla Beach. Dulcie, the dead woman' s daughter, was also missing, and it was surmised that the mother and daughter had entered into a death pact. The discovery of Miss Gilligan's body was due to a telegram received by Mr. W. A. Holman, K.C., who has chambers in the building where the body was found. The telegram came ostensibly from Mrs. Bryce, who is believed to have committed suicide subsequent to the murder of the girl. , ..... • ....
