By Telephone—
AUCKLAND, Monday. After a trip from Auckland occupying eleven days, the 34-foot auxiliary yacht Arethusa arrived at Suva this morning. The Arethusa which is owned by Mr. A. H. Pickmere, left Auckland on the afternoon of September 17. The crew consisted of the owner, and Messrs M. Robinson, J. Robinson, and C. Widdicombe. Ten days is considered to be the shortest period in which a boat of this description could possibly cover the aistance to Suva of 1145 miles, and a fortnight would not have been a long passage.
