SYDNEY, Monday. At the wool sale 10,804 bales were offered and 9970 were sold. In addition, 3078 bales were. disposed of privately. There was strong competition, a feature being an increase of the Yorkshire demand. The prices showed a further 10 per cent advance for the best descriptions and 5 per cent. for all other sorts except inferior lines. Greasy merino made. 15d. the top price for the season. The average price of wool sold at Sydney last week was £9 4s 4d per bale, equal to 6s 8d per pound.
