LONDON, Monday. The Dublin correspondent of the 'Times" says that the President of ;he Dail, Mr. W. T. Cosgrave, speakng at Limerick, made the first audioritative statement of the Free State's views regarding sterling as ;he currency. Advocates of complete independ:nce have been urging the Free State o break away from sterling and to :onvert £6,000,000 which the Curency Commission holds in London nto dollar securities. Mr. Cosgrave disposed of this sug;estipn by declaring that the separaion of the currency from sterling rould rob the Free State of her resent advantageous position in cometing with foreigners, especially in he British markets.
