POLITICAL LEADERS SUPPORT LEAGUE OF NATIONS UNION MEETING NEXT MONDAY Following the recent successful disarmament meeting at the Albert Hall, London, under the auspices of the League of Nations Union, when the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, and Mr. Lloyd George were the principal speakers before a huge audience, similar demonstrations will be held in New Zealand on October 5. At Wellington a public meeting will be held in the Town Hall, the speakers for the evening being the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, the Leader of the Reform Party, the [ Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, and the Leader I of the Opposition and Labour Party, Mr. H. E. Holland. At the gathering the following resolution will be moved: — "That this meeting 'warmly welcomes the forthcoming Disarmament Conference at Geneva in February, and urges the Government to do all in its power to bring about a real reduction in the Armies, Navies, and Air Forces of the world." With the endorsement of Mr. Forbes the British League of Nations Union's big and striking poster on disarmament is to be placed on the walls of every post office in New Zealand.
