TO-DAY'S RUGBY

ROTORUA MEETS COLLEGE RIFLES AT ARAWA PARK Rughy supporters are promised a good game at Arawa Park this afternoon when the Rotorua senior representatives will meet Auckland College Rifles, seniors, in a friendly match. College Rifles have sent up a strong side and the home side also should be capable of making a good showing. Unfortunately, Souter, the Auckland representative hooker, and Vear, the Auckland representative fiveeighth, who were to have made the trip with the Rifles, are unable to come, the former having a broken rib and the latter being down with 'flu. Stone, another Auckland representative, is with the team, playing lock. The team, which will stay at the Palace Hotel is under the captaincy of the ever popular Stan Kirk, who is becoming well known to Rotorua football enthusiasts. The combination has been strengthened by drawing on one or two members of other clubs, and the team should prove a hard proposition for the local representatives. The match, which will be preceded hy a curtain raiser between Whaka and Convent primary schools at 2 p.m., will be played on No. 1 Ground, commencing at 3 p.m. THE TEAMS Following are the teams: COLLEGE RIFLES.
