CANADIAN FOURSOMES , 3. / ' TAUPO, Monday. Beautiful sunshine and perfect playing condition3 prevailed for the Canadian Foursomes played by . members of the Taupo Golf Club. The event attracted a large entry and the links were taxed to their utmost capacity. The winners were Mr. and Mrs Dibley, of Mokai, who3e seore was 93-22-71, the runners-up being Mr V. T. Fail and Mrs Peart with a nett 76. The course; which is by no means an easy one, is gradually rounding into proper order and players availing themselves of the Labour Day weekend tournament to be held by the club will be pleased with the conditian of the coUrse The Laidlaw Challenge Cup for ladies has attracted great interest. Miss McKenzie is the present holder, she having defeated Mrs Fail 2 and 1 after a strenuous tussle. • The elub's professional, while playing a friendly game with R. Boggs holed in one at the first — much to his own consternation and the joy of his opponent. A large number of players availed themselves of the opportunity cf talking it over at the nineteenth.
