SYDNEY, Tuesday. The Commonwealth Bank's halfyearly report discloses a daily balance increase of £81,863, attributed mainly to the bank's fuller functioning as a general reserve bank. There is a large increase in the balance sheet aggregate, bearing directly on the part taken by the bank in financing the Australian Governments. The total disclosed profit is £7i00,788, compared with £618,925 for the previous half year. The profit ! in the note issue department shows j an increase of £13,569 to £292,886. j
