RECLAMATION BILL
WELLINGTON,' Tuesday. "This is a simple piece of legislation which does not require much explanation," said Hon. Mark Fagan in the Legislative Council to-day when reporting back from the Locals Bills Committee, without amendment the Rotorua Borough Reclamation Empowering Bill. "The Bill merely giv.es power to the Rotorua Borough to reclaim the shallow portions of the lake for recreational purposes." The Committee and third reading stages of the Bill were agreed to without discussion, and the measure was finally passed in a few minutes. The Bill now only requires the Vice-Regal assent to become law. — — — — ———————
