GRAND TO-NIGHT

As entertaining and refreshing a sereen story of college lif e ever filmed is "Girls Demand Excitement," the Fox Movietone which opened last evening at the Grand Theatre. The story unfolds itself against a background of co-educational institution, and concerns the determination of the boys to eliminate their fair eo-eds and make their alma mater 100 per cent. male. This of course does not quite fit in with the girls' ideas, and a mighty battle of the sexes is waged. One of the high spots of the picture is the basket-ball game between a team of girls and a team of boys. The girls' team was picked from the Movietone dancers and soon became so expert that they beat many of the best teams in California. John Wayne, Virginia Cherrill and Mrguerite Churchill are the feature players, and the supporting cast includes Ilelen Jerome Eddy, Eddie Nugent, William Janney, Marion Byron and Martha Sleeper.
