PETER PAN CABARET

MANAGER AND GUEST FINED AS SEQUEL TO RAID "DISGRACEFUL CONDUCT" AUCKLAND, Friday. In giving reserved judgment to-day on charges arising out of a raid on the Peter Pan Cabaret on the occasion of the Aero Club ball, the Magistrate, Mr Hunt, strongly criticised the control of the cabaret, and said more prosecutions should be brought against men who took liquor to dance halls. He had had reports from the probation officer concerning the disgraceful conduct of , girls on leaving dance halls. In future men brought before him for giving liquor to girls would be severely dealt with. He fined Norman Loveridge, manager of the cabaret, £15' for permitting liquor to be consumed in a restaurant, while Nicholson, one of the guests, was fined £2 10s for drinlcing on the premises.
