-Oopyright.
By Telephone — '
SYDNEY, Thursday. A storm of applause. swept the crowded Town Hall when the president of the New Guard, Mr Eric Campbell, defied anyone, "particularly the Socialistic Government" of this State, j to interfere in any way with the New Guard. j He advocated that every centre in | New South Wales should hold a meet- ! ing simultaneously, and carry a reso- j lution asking the Governor to remove ; the Lang Government. The New ■ Guard would protect such meetings, j Hundreds were unable to gain ad- 1 mittance to the meeting, admission j to which was by ticket only, and a j close scrutiny was made of all per- j sons entering.
