The Ngongotaha ladies' basketball team played her'e on Monday against a team of Reporoa ladies. Reporoa wori by i2 goals tb 5. The annual general meeting of the Reporoa •Cricket Club was held on Monday, when the club captain, Mr. William Meikle, presided over a large attendance. The secretary reported a balanee ih hand bf over £10. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. W. Laird; VicePresidents,. Messrs. R." Handcbek,, G. G. Seccombe ,and W. G. Butcher; Club Captain, Mr. Geo. Bf pomfield ; Management, Selectiori. and . Social Cbnimittee, Messrs. R. W. Dunbar, H. Hiclcey, T. H. Lewis, and R. Brown, together with the club captain; Hoh. Secretary and Treasurer, Mf. Roy Gillespie. . A discussion to.ok place in regard to joining the Association recently formed in Rotorua and the secretary was instructed to obtain further particulars., ; The Rfeporoa Maori Tennis Club held a yery successful fancy dress ball at Reporoa on Friday last. A large number attended and competition in fancy dresses was keen. Pfize winners were : Most original costume, Miss E. Brown (tennis player) ; best fancy dkess, Miss Hazel Brown (Red Indian ihaid) ; best couple, MiSses R. Lowry and C. Laurence (Darby and Joan). The Farmers' Union is holding a meeting here on Wedhesday next.
